Oh My Stars!

Every step I take I think it's my favorite - I started putting the stars together, and I really love them, even though the colors don't show up so vibrantly on the pics as real life, I really like them. (I'm missing the cord to down load the images from my camera, so am using the I-pod for now). This mystery quilt is so much fun! I'd never do a project like this if it hadn't been for Bonnie Hunter! I've never whinned about the little pieces, working on this week by week, really keeps me going.

I'm pretty much following along with Bonnies colors, I didn't have enough of a variety in my  BLACKS so added some deep purples and blues.....

Orca Bay Blocks - So far

This is a sampling of the blocks I've done so far - as you check out  my site, PLEASE remember, I'm just learning this blog stuff, sort of messy right now...

I really like the blues I had on hand for the paperpieced blocks. Can't wait for this all to come together! I don't have much black, so have added some deep purple and navy to the blocks that were to be black, sure hope it's going to look OK.

Day 3

Putts around with changing the pic of Spencer - was too large to start, now not too bad.  I'm working on the Hourglass blocks to the ORCA BAY quilt. Since I didn't have much black to use for these as suggested, I'v pulled out some dark blues and deep purple to go along with the black. Hope they look good in the finished product!
